Report on the First Day of the Annual Sports Meet 2025–26

The First Day of the Annual Sports Meet 2025–26 of Bhandari Public International School was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy on 22nd December 2025. The day marked a grand beginning to the much-awaited sporting event of the academic year – 2025 – 26.

The Annual Sports Meet commenced on an auspicious note with the worship of Sri Ganesh at the Ganesh Temple, seeking divine blessings for the success of the event. This was followed by a colorful sports rally from the Fort Gate to the Town Hall, in which students from all four houses (Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram and Maheshwaram: representing Blue, Red, Green and Yellow) participated enthusiastically. The rally showcased unity, discipline, and sportsmanship as students marched with high spirits and patriotic fervor.

Upon reaching the sports arena within the school premises, the atmosphere was charged with zeal and excitement. The formal opening ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial torch, symbolizing the spirit of sports. This was followed by Saraswati Pujan and the hoisting of the school flag, signifying respect for knowledge, discipline, and institutional pride.

A well-coordinated march past by students of all four houses reflected impeccable discipline and teamwork. The ceremony concluded with the oath-taking ceremony, led by the Sports Captain, wherein the entire student body pledged to uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and true sportsmanship.

The competitive events began thereafter, featuring the final rounds of all throwing and jumping events, along with heats of various track races. The day also witnessed the finals of select events in the junior section, where young athletes displayed remarkable talent and determination. Throughout the day, the participants demonstrated courage, confidence, enthusiasm, and a strong competitive spirit.

The eventful day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony for the events that reached their finals. The winners were applauded and encouraged, while all participants were appreciated for their spirited performance.

The first day of the Annual Sports Meet was a resounding success, setting a high tone for the days to follow and reinforcing the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
